I love this unit! Years ago this is the style I wore my hair. I shampooed it before wearing. IT DIDN'T HAVE A SMELL!!! I shampoo all of my Vanessa's Wigs before wearing them, to my liking they even the more look natural! I'm ordering a 2nd one in the same color 280 for a back up! I'm a very happy customer!♥️
